High-end apartments in the heart of Wimbledon

This luxury residential building is situated on Wimbledon High Street. Our client, Rhino Construction, was refurbishing and extending the existing building to provide a collection of new apartments.

Our brief was to deliver staircases for the building which were both suited to a high-end development and cost effective. There had been compliance issues with the original design which required us to consider a totally new approach.

Although there was space for two staircases, we proposed a more cost-effective alternative of one staircase with a bridge section to give access to both sides of the building. This saved both space and money. The stairs were reconfigured to fit the space and installed in three separate phases.

Constructed in hard-wearing galvanised steel, the stairs are clad in ‘fake wood’; the silver balustrades are aesthetically pleasing and complement the yellow stone brick of the building.

The result was a cost-effective, attractive and long-lasting solution.

Jason Coetzee, Managing Director of Rhino Construction commented:

”Having recently completed a large high end block of flats in London, we needed to be surrounded by good contractors who were not only professional but nice guys to work with too. We found working with Rayward Installations to be a pleasurable experience and the end product extremely well delivered too. From their initial drawings to the final assembly, we always knew that we were in very good hands.”
